With the wound still fresh following Sunday’s blowout, a former Las Vegas Raiders star player (now with the Pittsburgh Steelers) was actively recruiting Davante Adams. At least, that’s the impression that has been spread via Twitter/X.
Cordarrelle Patterson, one of the Silver and Black’s most underrated players from their 2017 campaign, once lit it up for the Raiders. A true receiving and rushing hybrid, Patterson is a four-time All-Pro that has more than paid his dues; he also knows what it’s like to waste your time with the Raiders. It’s no coincidence that his only season stands out prominently—and not in a positive way. Not surprisingly, he received multiple accolades both before and after his tenure with the Raiders.
So, Patterson took it upon himself to reach out to Adams directly via social media. Mind you, with the wound still open and very much fresh.

Should the Steelers be pursuing Raiders star wideout Davante Adams?
Despite a 4-2 start, the Steelers are far from perfect. They themselves could certainly use a star of the caliber of Adams. Looking back on Sunday, the Raiders were gashed by the run game led by former Bears quarterback Justin Fields, who ran in two touchdowns himself while Najee Harris punched in another. Imagine Adams on that offense alongside George Pickens.
Also, let’s not forget, the Steelers were unable to acquire the services of Brandon Aiyuk this offseason. Obviously, Pittsburgh wants to upgrade their receiving room, but at what cost? By all accounts, the Raiders are not willing to compromise on their price tag. So, are the Steelers willing to allocate enough draft capital to convince general manager Tom Telesco? The crucial question at hand is whether the Steelers, already a potential playoff contender, can elevate their game with the addition of Davante Adams.
