Should the Las Vegas Raiders trade up for one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft? The upcoming class for this position hasn’t been nearly as coveted as last year’s, but the Silver and Black are desperate for a new signal-caller.
By all accounts, it does appear head coach Antonio Pierce is coming back. However, it’s important to note that majority owner Mark Davis, whose word is final, hasn’t confirmed the news. Whether it’s Pierce or another coach, the Raiders need a quarterback for the long term.
Last year, had it not been for a string of wins under the then-interim coach, Las Vegas would’ve been in play for Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye. Instead, the organization continues to grapple with the same issue that has plagued it for years.
After securing a few victories this season, the Raiders have once again found themselves in a similar situation. Now, the Raiders might need to execute a trade if they want one of the top two quarterback prospects: Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders. We brought the matter to the attention of Raider Nation, who, as always, did not disappoint. It appears that there is a general consensus regarding the question of trading up in April.
If you’re the Raiders, do you trade up in this draft for either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders?

Raiders Fans Aren’t Too Crazy About A Trade
As it stands, our live poll via our X account shows that upward of 65 percent of our readers stand against trading up. As stated before, this year’s quarterback class has thus not generated the same amount of buzz as last year. In fact, scouts around the league aren’t too keen on the group, whether it’s Ward or Sanders. Other prospects, such as Jaxson Dart, are also catching the attention of Raider Nation, but he isn’t a player you get to plug in on Day 1.
Some fans might not want to admit it, but it does appear Aidan O’Connell is your best option for next season. However, given the ample cap space and potential free agent options, general manager Tom Telesco may have other plans. Buckle up, Raiders fans; this is going to be an interesting offseason.
