The Las Vegas Raiders have a tough decision to make soon regarding Antonio Pierce’s future—but what do the fans want, Mike Vrabel?
Despite Pierce’s role as the current coach of the Silver and Black, his future remains uncertain. Raider Nation’s high expectations were not met by Pierce’s first season in Sin City. Let’s be honest, though; he didn’t do himself any favors in the offseason. Indeed, certain factors beyond his control hindered his success. The quarterback situation comes to mind. The Raiders defense was also decimated by a litany of injuries. Excuses aside, the question is, have the men upstairs seen enough?
By “upstairs,” we’re referring to Mark Davis and Tom Brady—do they want a “reset” this offseason?
Mike Vrabel, or do you maintain stability and run it back with Antonio Pierce if you’re the Raiders?

Naturally, we took our question to the Raider Ramble’s followers. Thus far, one of Brady’s old cohorts seems to be the choice over Pierce; we’re referring to Mike Vrabel. The former Tennessee Titans head coach and teammate of Brady’s is currently being linked to the Raiders as a surefire candidate to replace Pierce in the offseason.
Vrabel’s prospects as Raiders head coach are far from being ironclad. Despite his winning record of 54-45 with the Titans, Raider Nation has noticed flaws in his tenure. The biggest being that this is the same man that hired Todd Downing, the same offensive coordinator who’s remembered fondly for eventually ruining the Raiders offense after Bill Musgrave’s departure in 2017. Immediately, his judgment is being questioned. One could argue that the Silver and Black should prioritize hiring a highly regarded young offensive talent in the league, like Ben Johnson.
Is Mike Vrabel just another Antonio Pierce but with bigger name recognition?
